What is a a/c performance test & re-gas?

An A/C performance test measures how well your vehicle's air conditioning system cools, how much refrigerant it holds, and whether the compressor, condenser and cabin filter are working as designed.

As an ARCtick-licensed operator (AU067078), MEDAUTO™ can legally handle refrigerant, pressure-test the system, trace leaks with UV dye or electronic detection, and recharge to manufacturer specification — all at your home or workplace.

Why it matters

Why this service is required

• Queensland heat is brutal on cabin comfort, and a weak A/C is usually the first sign of a slow refrigerant leak rather than 'just needing a top-up'.
• Running a system that is low on refrigerant starves the compressor of oil and can turn an inexpensive re-gas into a compressor replacement costing many times more.
• Air conditioning also demists your windscreen quickly in wet weather, so it is a genuine safety system — not just a comfort feature.
